Shengxin Optoelectronic Technology (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd—Professional manufacturer of special optical fibers
Optical fiber can be used as a sensor, by modifying the optical fiber to measure temperature, pressure and strain. Inherent a particularly useful feature of fiber optic sensors is that they can provide distributed sensing over very long distances and are ideal for certain oil and gas applications. Fiber optics are also used as hydrophones for seismic and sonar applications. Some hydrophone systems are quite complex, with each fiber optic cable containing more than one hundred sensors.
Dedicated single-mode fiber has been used for acoustic sensors and fiber-optic hydrophones in submarine environments for many years. The high-strength 2% and 3% anti-verification test options in the bending-insensitive series make it very suitable for high-reliability fixed or towed (streaming) hydrophone arrays. Further enhance the service life and bending insensitivity.
Our new polyamide-coated single-mode fiber series is highly challenging for downhole sensors designed for the environment. These fibers use our fiber polyamide coating, which can provide high NA single-mode fiber bending numbness and photosensitivity, and has the ability to withstand short-term temperatures up to 400 degrees Celsius (and 300 degrees Celsius continuous).
